Depth Transducer
Proteus connects to your depth transducer over NMEA2000. Not only does the 3D Display show bottom contours based on baseline NOAA maps, but it uses the depth from your transducer to update those maps so you have up to date and accurate depth information.
VHF Radio AIS
Your VHF has critical information Proteus can use to enhance the 3D Display. Connect Proteus to your VHF Radio over NMEA2000 and get detailed information about AIS vessels on screen.
Compass
Your Compass heading appears on the left side of the Proteus screen. Proteus connects to your digital compass over NMEA 2000 to both display compass heading and to inform the ProteusCore™.
GPS

Using GPS position, the 3D display shows your accurate position in real time.

• Understanding the information presented by your RADAR on the multi-function display can be a challenge. Even experienced boaters know how difficult proper interpretation of RADAR information can be. RADAR is critical in helping you understand what is around you and avoid impacts with other boats or objects in the water.

• PROTEUS leverages your RADAR to deliver unparalleled insight into your surroundings. As your Partner in Navigation, PROTEUS turns what used to be an amorphous fuzzball on your RADAR into a photorealistic icon on your MFD. Enabling you to take the appropriate action behind the wheel.

• By implementing Machine Learning to identify and classify raw RADAR returns, PROTEUS can turn what used to be an amorphous fuzzball on your RADAR into a photorealistic icon on your MFD.

• See objects that previously appeared as blobs or fuzz on your RADAR screen as real objects on the PROTEUS Vision 3D display. Existing RADAR displays do not make it easy to tell the difference between a boat and a channel marker at a glance.
